Curious by nature, always building something

A short summary about my journey and interests.

I've always been the kind of person who needs to understand how things work underneath - and then take them apart to make them better. That curiosity shows up everywhere in my life, from the projects I tinker with at home to the way I spend my weekends.

Drift is my real passion - the adrenaline of a car on the edge of control is hard to match. I followed it as a fan long before I chased it myself, and I've had my own drift car and gotten to feel that edge firsthand. I still follow events like Drift Masters closely, chasing that same rush from the stands. Formula 1 is where the rest of my racing attention goes.

That same appetite for speed and adrenaline led me to a Yamaha R1, before I moved on to ATV off-road riding, which is where I spend most of my time on wheels now, exploring trails rather than roads.

I keep a home lab running purely for the joy of building things without constraints - a place to experiment, break things safely, and learn by doing.

I'm also drawn to open source and everything new coming out of it. I track a wide range of feeds to keep up with what's happening - new software, new ideas, new approaches - and use it as a source of inspiration to fine-tune current setup. There's always something to improve, and I like keeping that progress constant rather than letting things sit still.

Hostinger

A snapshot of my current role and the impact I’ve made.

DNS Infrastructure Engineer Kaunas, Lithuania · Current role

I now operate and evolve Hostinger's DNS platform across authoritative, recursive, and specialized internal services.

  • Fleet ownership. Operate a multi-project DNS fleet authoritative and recursive services built on dnsdist, PowerDNS Authoritative & Recursor, MySQL, LMDB, and Redis across a mixed Rocky Linux / Debian estate.
  • Architecture. Designed a highly available DNS platform architecture with fully duplicated service stacks distributed across multiple nodes and locations. Implemented BGP-based anycast routing at the network layer to provide automatic traffic distribution and failover without service interruption. Built redundant authoritative and recursive DNS layers using dnsdist, PowerDNS Authoritative & Recursor, replicated data backends, and automated operational workflows, eliminating single points of failure and ensuring resilient DNS service delivery at scale.
  • Development. Built a high-performance geo-aware authoritative DNS system with automated testing, CI/CD validation, and quality-driven development workflows. Implemented intelligent DNS-based traffic routing capabilities that dynamically select IP endpoints based on client location, enabling efficient CDN delivery. Deployed in production for customer-facing CDN workloads and internal infrastructure services.
  • Packet-path diagnostics. Diagnosed throughput limitations by tracing packet processing paths from NIC ring buffers through application and database layers. Tuned Linux kernel networking parameters, IRQ affinity, socket buffers, and system-level limits to maximize packet processing efficiency. Resolved architectural bottlenecks through horizontal scaling, multi-instance deployments, and optimized request distribution strategies.
  • Automation & CI/CD Engineered infrastructure automation workflows using Ansible, GitHub Actions, and custom package delivery pipelines. Built automated PowerDNS build, testing, validation, and artifact distribution pipelines through S3 while ensuring cross-distribution Linux compatibility. Developed automated update and maintenance workflows, including security patching and coordinated reboot orchestration, enabling secure infrastructure lifecycle management without service downtime.
  • Observability & AI-assisted operations. Implemented end-to-end observability workflows using Prometheus, Grafana, and Alertmanager, integrating automated health validation tests into every server deployment to continuously verify service reliability. Developed AI-assisted operations tooling, including an on-call triage agent that analyzes dashboards, metrics, and logs to assist incident response workflows like a human operator.
cPanel Administrator Kaunas, Lithuania · Past role

Earlier in my career at Hostinger, I managed cPanel-based hosting environments and supported shared hosting operations, account lifecycle workflows, and platform reliability.

  • Hosting operations. Maintained and supported large-scale cPanel hosting infrastructure, ensuring stable service delivery for customer-facing environments.
  • Account and platform support. Handled account lifecycle operations, service health checks, and day-to-day operational issues across hosting platforms.

Building and experimenting in my homelab

Projects I have build for work and personal use, ranging from game cheating scripts to high performance services. Many of these are open source and available on my GitHub.

Certificate lifecycle manager

GitOps-driven certificate lifecycle manager where certificate definitions are maintained as code, CI/CD workflows automate ACME issuance, renewal, and monitoring, with certificates stored securely in HashiCorp Vault using OIDC authentication.
